Reflective questions to review and plan your year

The end of the year is always a good time to reflect. My 2025 was a year of growth and adventure, but also challenges. Here are some questions I am asking myself. I hope you find them useful, too.

Looking back on 2025

  • Where did I make the greatest impact?
  • What was the most useful piece of feedback I received this year?
  • When did I feel most alive and what might this tell me?
  • What pattern emerged in 2025 and what does it mean?

The here and now

  • If nothing needed fixing, what would I notice about my life as it is right now?
  • Where am I forcing or overcomplicating things?
  • What am I not letting go of? What truth am I avoiding?
  • If I didn’t need the money, what would I immediately stop doing? Start doing?

Looking ahead to 2026

  • If I was restricted to working 2 hours a day, what would I spend this time on?
  • If I could learn only one thing next year, what would most inspire me?
  • If I could ask next year a single question, what would it be?
  • And what would be the simplest answer?

Bonus questions

  • Who do I want to spend more time with?
  • In 12 months’ time, what may I regret not having done?
  • What’s one brave experiment I could run next year?
  • To make space for what’s important, what will I say no to?

I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings. See you on the other side.
