I’m excited to embark on a postgraduate certification for coaching supervisors 🌻🌳 πŸ•ΊπŸ»πŸ’ƒπŸ»

More than just coaching the coach, supervision is a practice informed by systemic thinking and is common in all helping professions. It supports continuous professional development, ethical practice, and much more. Supervision is also a professional requirement for accredited coaches.

Beyond my work as a leadership coach and facilitator I have more recently begun working as a coaching supervisor myself with my alma mater, the Academy of Leadership & Management (ALM), supporting emerging coaches in their craft.

I’m excited to invest in my own learning with an ILM Level 7 accredited certification for coaching supervisors, a relatively new programme at ALM. Alongside my other work commitments it should take me 6-12 months to complete part-time. It will take me into my next growth curve while also benefiting everyone I work with β€” the virtuous cycle of lifelong learning.

Over the years I’ve been lucky to have worked with some great supervisors, notably Jeff Matthews, Anna Springett and now Pamela Weeden who is currently supervising me as a supervisor πŸ™ƒ I have been inspired by their craft and look forward to forging similar paths.

Onward! πŸš€

PPS. OK this breaks my New Year’s resolution β€” I was going to focus on experiential learning and avoid consuming textbooks β€” but hey, I lasted 9 months…
